Safety technical Specification for single bucket excavator


1. Single bucket excavator operation and walking site should be flat and solid, soft ground application sleeper or pad solid, swamp or silt site should be first roadbed treatment, or replacement of the special wetland track.

2. The tire type excavator should support the leg before using, and should maintain the horizontal position, the leg should be placed in the working face direction, the steering drive axle should be placed in the working face rear. The driving wheels of crawler excavators shall be placed at the rear of the working surface. The excavator with hydraulic suspension device shall be locked in two suspension hydraulic cylinders.

3. The following items should be inspected before the operation, and the corresponding requirements should be met: (1) lighting, signal and alarm devices should be complete and effective. (2) fuel, lubricants, hydraulic oil should meet the requirements. (3) The hinged parts should be connected reliably. (4) The hydraulic system must not have the leakage phenomenon. (5) Tire pressure should conform to the regulations.

4. Before starting, the main clutch should be separated, the joystick placed in neutral position, and the signal should be issued to confirm the safety after starting the equipment.

5. After starting, should make the hydraulic system from low-speed to high-speed no-load cycle 10~20min, must not have the air absorption and so on abnormal noise, and should check each meter indication value, after the operation Normal and then joins the main clutch, then carries on the no-load operation, the sequential manipulation each work organization and the test each brake, confirms the normal start work.

6. When working, the excavator should maintain the horizontal position, the walking mechanism should be braked, the track or the tyre should be wedged tight. 

7. When leveling the site, it is not necessary to use the bucket to sweep or shovel the ground to tamp.

8. When digging rocks, blasting should be carried out first. When the frozen soil is excavated, the frozen soil layer should be broken by means of breaking ice hammer or blasting method. You may not use a bucket to break stones, frozen soil, or a hard bite with unilateral teeth.

9. Digging the maximum excavation height and depth, should not exceed the mechanical performance requirements. In the case of shovel or backhoe operation, crawler excavator's track and face edge distance should be greater than 1.0m, tyre-type excavator tires and working face edge distance should be greater than 1.5m.

10. Excavation operations at the edge of the pit, when the risk of landslides is found, should be dealt with immediately or removed from the safety zone. The edge of the pit shall not be left with an umbrella-like edge and a loose boulder.

11. Excavators should be stopped before carrying out excavation work. When the bucket does not leave the working face, it shall not be used for turning, walking and other movements. Rotary brakes should be used for rotary braking, and the clutch should not be used to reverse the conversion.

12. During the operation, the operation should be smooth, not emergency braking. Bucket movements must not be too fierce, falling, not to bump into the frame or track.

13. When the bucket arm is raised and turned, it shall not touch the pit, ditch side wall or other object.

14. When the excavator is loaded with the vehicle, the unloading height shall be lowered and the compartment shall not be biased or smashed. The bucket shall not be crossed from the top of the transporter cab at the time of rotation.

15. In the operation, when the hydraulic cylinder telescopic expansion to the limit position, should be smooth action, not to impact limit block. 16. In the operation, when the brake is required, the speed shift valve should be placed in the low-speed position.

17. In the operation, when the excavation force is found to change suddenly, should stop checking, not to determine the cause of the distribution valve before the pressure adjustment. 

18. In the operation, the pressure gauge switch shall not be opened and the operating handle of the valve should not be placed in the high gear position. 

19. Excavator should be stopped and then back shovel operation, bucket handle stretched out due to meet the requirements, the lifting bucket should be smooth.

20. In operation, crawler excavator short distance walking, the active wheel should be in the back, the bucket arm should be in front and track parallel, and should brake slewing mechanism. The ramp gradient shall not exceed the maximum allowable slope of the machine. The downhill should be slow. No speed and no glide on the ramp.

21. The tyre excavator should recover the leg and be reliable before running, and the monitoring instrument and alarm signal should be in the normal display state. Tire pressure should be in line with the requirements, the working device should be in the direction of driving, the bucket should be 1m from the ground. In long-distance driving, the rotary brake plate should be stepped down, and the fixed pin lock slewing platform should be used.

22. The excavator in the ramp when the flameout, should immediately brake, and should wedged live track or tires, restart, and then continue to walk.

23. After the operation, the excavator shall not be parked in the vicinity of the high slope or fill area, should be parked in a solid, flat, safe position, and the bucket should be retracted flat on the ground, all the joystick placed in the middle, close operation room and hangar. 

24. Crawler-Type excavator transfer site shall be shipped by flatbed trailer. At a short distance, you should walk at low speed. 

25. Maintenance or overhaul of excavators, the internal combustion engine should be extinguished, and the hydraulic system unloading, shovel bucket landing.

26. The use of bucket will be the chassis to carry out maintenance, should use the mat wood will lift the track or tire cushion stability, with wood wedge will be the ground track or tires wedged, and then the hydraulic system unloading, otherwise not into the chassis work.
